Introduction
Developed in the 1970s, the Aermacchi MB-339 is an Italian advanced military trainer and light attack aircraft. Produced by Alenia Aermacchi SpA of Varese, Italy, it has been widely exported and is in service with the air forces of Argentina, Dubai, Italy, Malaysia, New Zealand, and many more. It saw action between Eritrea and Ethiopia in the late 1990s and during the Falklands War in the early 80s.

Designed to be an attractive, easy to fly yet fully aerobatic jet, it features lightweight, balsa and plywood construction with carbon fiber reinforcements and is finished in genuine UltraCote® film that's long lasting and easy to maintain. Designer and world-class pilot Ali Machinchy created the MB-339 with the right combination of attention to details and flight characteristics that Hangar 9 pilots expect.
